Power Football Clinic

On Tuesday 29th July the R/1MA had the opportunity to join in a football clinic with some very tall footballers! It was wonderful to see some female role models as well. The children had a great time participating in some warm up games, handball activities and running into the tackle bag. Many thanks to our footballers for a fun clinic.

Made In China

Last week our class used a metacognition tool that required the students to think about What they Know (K), What they Want to Know (W), How they will find out (H), and What they have Learned (L) on the topic of China.

Some responses were:K - They have lots of Pandas. The Olympics are in China. China has lots of temples.

W - Why does China have lots of earthquakes? What do Chinese people eat?

H - Internet, email, books, television and guest speaker

L - to be completed at the end of the unit.

To launch our topic on China can each student bring in an object that is made in China for our class display on Monday 4th August.

Welcome Term 3

First of all welcome back for Term 3. It is very exciting to present our first blog posting for the year. The blog is here for both students and parents to enjoy. The blog is a wonderful way to inform our community about the events and activities in our class. As a parent you will have an opportunity to see the work our class engages in. Also, it is a communication tool for you to access at home or at work at any time. The blog is also useful to our interstate and international relatives. The blog will show important diary dates, parent information, student work and photos of intersting events. It will not have student photos from our class. Parents also have the opportunity to comment on various postings. I look forward to your feedback on this site.
